Description
This course is divided into two parts, image and sound. The meaning of Visual effects is introduced. The available visual effects tools and their possibilities, in the digital computer software, are presented. The creation of sound effects as a means of communication and their matching with the image and the demanded rhythm of each frame, is presented.
Furthermore, some specific themes of compositing and VFX are analyzed in study cases.
Aim
Understanding of VFX and Sound design position in design projects, so as some of the students might be occupied with an interesting sector and be a part of a production team naturally, for the production of a complex animation design project.
Targets
- Development of cooperation capacities in a digital animation environment
- Familiarization with specific tools and terms sound design, foley, Visual effects
- Understanding of the specialized people who are involved in editing and their importance in digital animation development
