Description

The new digital technologies in the animation field, have given new tools of expression and creation and they have facilitate the conditions of the animation production, expanding its possibilities of application in many sectors besides cinema narration.

The research, has shown that there is direct connection between the digital tools and the methods of creation 3D computer animation within the traditional procedures of animation creation.

In this course, there is an introduction to the basic principles of 3D computer animation design. Methods and techniques of 3D animation creation in digital environments and software are presented. Also, there is a reference in old-fashioned methods, which complete the course.

Furthermore, there is a mapping of new possibilities that are given in 3D computer animation environments and also a step-by-step presentation of methods and techniques of 3D computer animation.

Specifically, in this course there is an overview of the possibilities in a greater depth, using the available tools that correspond to the rigging and movement creation with contemporary techniques, using motion capture hardware and software (mocap) in 3D blender environment, unity etc.

 

Aim

To understand the philosophy and the means of expressions through 3D animation, in order the student to be able to choose the best method and tools for a design assignment in 3D animation.

  • Development of cooperation capacities in 3D environments
  • Familiarization with tools and specialties 3D animation design
  • Understanding of the connection between old-fashioned and modern techniques and specializations in 3D computer animation
  • Familiarization with technological tools and techniques mocap in 3D computer animation environments
  • Understanding and developing abilities of problem resolving in themes in 3D computer animation environments (rigging, shinning etc)
