Description

The 2D character creation and movement is investigated and analyzed. It is required a structure design, such as the skeleton, the movement axons, the relations between sizes and the development of secondary characteristics.

The created animation characters must be prototypes both in image and in idea and also to be according to the specific structural characteristics for animation.

Then, the animation character movement is investigated in relation with the time. In this way, it expresses emotions and the packet of all the basic elements of expression, that it represents and commutes.

The relative environment is investigated and created. This is the space where the animation character is moving, so there would be a match for both of them. The animation character and the space must commute like a whole, with the aim to be conceived by the audience as a natural entity.

In the practical part, the students are asked to create completed animated spots, where the character is embedded in the environment, transmits a point of view.

Aim

The students must create movement of objects or natural elements in the basis of the basic principles of animation and to commute its ideas in a limited time.

Target

Every student, individually, creates expressive movements in the animated spots to commute his/her opinions.
